The Borzoi at Eidolon are an integral part of our lives: friends and family who we couldn’t imagine living without. Each dog is an individual with it’s own personality and each has a way of amazing us when we least expect it. They all have a way of showing their love and loyalty. We are pleased to share their beauty, personalities and successes with you here
Eidolon is Defined as “An Image of an Ideal”
When I first read the definition it struck me that this is what borzoi were to us personally, and what we should strive for in our contributions to the breed. For that reason we chose it as our kennel name. It serves to remind us of our goals every time we read it.
Our Focus
Dan and I have always put the welfare of our dogs first. They are our best friends and a source of unconditional love. To the ring we bring dogs of quality whether we bred them or not. We do not breed often but when we do we are diligent about health testing and the quality we wish to continue. We breed for our love of the breed and the desire to keep the breed overall healthy and correct going into the future.
