Welcome to the home of Eidolon Borzoi.

The Borzoi at Eidolon are an integral part of our lives: friends and family who we couldn't imagine living without. Each dog is an individual with it's own personality and each has a way of amazing us when we least expect it. Whether it's Blade (Mr. Aloof) staying glued to my side after I had surgery, or Chasm greeting me with the most exhuberant hug the first time she saw me after traveling with a handler to work on her championship, they all have a way of showing their love and loyalty. We are pleased to share their beauty, personalities and successes with you here.

The word "Eidolon" has two definitions. 1) a phantasm, and, 2) an image of an ideal. When I first read the second definition it struck me that this is what borzoi were to us personally, and what we should strive for in our contributions to the breed. For that reason we chose it as our kennel name. It serves to remind us of our goals every time we read it.
